What is SEM? How does it work?

SEM is a form of paid search marketing where businesses pay search engines to display their advertisements in a priority slot in the search results page.

In the search results page, there are two types of results such as paid ads and organic results. Organic results have no role in SEM. It comes under SEO.

The most interesting feature of SEM is you have to pay only when someone clicks on your ad. This feature is known as Pay Per Click.
